Shelby MAG

By Unknown, Unknown, Unknown

   eighteen years of her life

supposedly an adult now

sometimes i wonder

laughing

she rides in circles

on a bicycle much too small

we watch, our sides beginning to hurt

from the entertainment

grown up, yet her youth revealed

the bicycle, made for a child

decides to let her go

and during one of her journeys around

the seat gives way

and falls off

and so does she

sitting on the grass

she looks up at us

a little bewildered

but with a grin on her face

and watching her

i can't help but

smile
