The way a poem flows,
When read right for the very first time.
The way a poet knows,
What words will be next to rhyme.

The way a poem shows,
Emotions felt deep under skin.
The way a poem hides,
The mysteries that lay within.

The way a poem tastes,
As the words escape from your lips.
The way a poem can hold you,
Secure you to your very fingertips.

The way a poem rings,
And allows you to cherish its chime.
The way a poem flows,
When read right for the very first time.
