After All Is Said And Done, At Least We'll Be Dissapointed Together

My darling, how did we end up here?
My darling, I can't see!
If there's too be resolution
Then why, oh why are there insecurities?
I thought we left that plain years ago
I mean, how can you forget?
We have to see that we're not sinking
Or at least not yet
My darling how did we end up here?
My darling, why can't we stand
Maybe because when we try to
We end up firing at each other at your command
I've always seem to dodge a bullet
Cause I'd hate to see the sight of another day's end without resolve
Who decided it was a good idea to not face consequence in the first place?
It's a mystery I can't seem to solve
My darling, what do we do now?
My darling, let's rest our voices
So we can use them later to say how much we love each other
Instead of screaming at the top of our lungs that we made some terrible choices
Our words sing joyous songs
Other times they sting like acid to a wound
Other times, our actions speak when we're too hoarse to criticize
At times they make us feel welcome, but most times they make us swoon
My darling, I guess a day still together is a good one
My darling, I know we are gonna go at it again
But hey, I guess we'll get closer once we let everything out
And we'll still be together in the end
With you here with me, I guess we can fight another day
I'm sure the sun is about to rise in all this stormy weather
My darling, after all is said and done
At least we'll be dissapointed together
