If a tree was to fall,
and nobody was around,
would it make a sound?

That's how I feel.
Like I'm falling,
nobody's around,
and I'm barely making a sound.

Why might the tree fall you ask?
Well, let's look at the cause of the situation.

Maybe a man is at its roots hacking away.
Or maybe its too small to get any sunlight.
Or maybe its because of erosion.

I mean, it doesn't really matter.
Who cares about a tree?
Especially when no-one could hear its sound.
It last breath before giving up.

Nothing like this happens overnight.
Damage like THIS takes time.
Now that it's gone, maybe everyone will hear.

I wrote this poem during a hardship in my relationship. I felt like there was nowhere elce to turn in my darkest days. I needed to express myself positively. This is what I came up with.
