Further Away

Love Measured to no degree

Whats so wrong, hard to see

So much easier just to flee

I miss the way we used to be

So loving, innocent, and carefree

Cant live by what would be

Close the lock, throw away the key

Inside and out screaming to be free

Running further and further away from me

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the flow of the poem. The despair, the regret, the climax, the hint of triumph, and then the sad ending... It really is brilliant.
God bless,
