THE RAIN
sitting in the rain feeling the warm drops of water tingling on my skin from the sky above
the dark whether brings me peace and time to think
walking down the road with no shoes feeling the wet cold hard and rough black top
the smell of fresh cut grass and the newly brought rain makes me happy and calm
I see the dark gloomy clouds with the occasional lightning followed by the loud thunder that makes me jump out of fright
spinning in the rain with my face looking upward into the sky with my mouth open catching the rain drops in my mouth and the taste itself is beautiful and warms my body and my spirit
hearing the drops hitting the ground, plop plop plop, with the faint screaming of children playing in a distant field
looking around me I see the breath taking green plants and trees and the red and yellow flowers somebody has planted then boom there’s the dark grey and blue sky such a different mood of everything but just so fitting
