Delicate WingsFlying ...the earth is my servant,as I rise above the restricting limitsof the atmosphere.Clouds bob below melike flotation raftsto cushion my descent.I gaze at the infinite horizonthe brink of dusksprinkled with yellows and oranges and reds.I soarthrough thin, free airfeeling the wind lift my weightless frame -I am interrupted: "We will be landing shortly. Please fasten your seatbelts ..."and my delicate wings are broken.by Rachel Roth, New City, NY
