The Eternal Wait

In the still and quiet,
I lay beneath the sheets
Thoughts of you still linger
As I fight to fall asleep
Forgetting you can't happen
I've tried that times before
Once I shut the window
You burst right through my door
Time and time you find me,
I'm broken and confused
You save me but you can't see
It's all because of you
You take over all my thoughts
And brighten up my dreams
And when I turn to darkness,
You're my light it seems
So I'll keep on waiting,
Until you decide to stay
'Til nothing comes between us
But I doubt we'll see that day.
