Broken Hearted Girl
What can someone like me do,
When my heart is broken in two?
Is there a quick fix, an easy mend,
An escape just around the bend?
Is there someone who can come to me,
Who sings 'You Belong With Me'?
Is there something I can do,
To erase the traces of you?
Can I find someone to hold my hand,
While my legs find the strength to stand?
Does a person with a pure heart,
Who can send mine off the charts?
These are the questions of a broken-hearted girl,
who cries alone and her mind is in a swirl.
But she is also the one that understands,
That forever is nothing but the trickle of sand.
