I am a one winged angel,
I need you to fly.
I was the stars in your midnight sky.
I figure were nothing If we stand alone, because you were my rock when I hit the stone.
I was the sun, but you are my day,
and I cannot shine If you choose not to stay.
I figure were nothing If were incomplete because you were the puzzle and I was a piece.
I was the breeze, but you are my ocean, I was the spell, but you are the potion, I was the lyrics but you were my song, and we'd mumble the words as we both sang along.
But don't you know that without that wing the angel wont fly,
and when one star is missing there's an empty space in the sky.
and the day cease to shine if it has no sun because without that piece the puzzles not done.
Without a breeze... well the ocean wont move, and without a spell the potion wont brew, because without any lyrics there is only a beat and if we both stand alone...

how are we ever complete?

The author's comments:
This piece was inspired by my first and only broken heart. I hope that my readers are able to paint there own picture in between the lines, and overall enjoy such a personal piece that means the world to me.
