Thank You
Lord thank you for the day, and thank you for the night,
And thank you for the moments where everything goes just right,
And on those days where things just don't flow,
I long for your faith, joy and glow!
Thank you for feelings, emotions, and love,
Even for the light and darkness above,
For every laugh, moment, and smile,
Or when we sit and talk awhile.
Each day and night you’re by my side,
Through sickness and fear, in which I abide,
Although I am scared I know you are there,
For my Lord, you are ever-more just and fair!
Thank you for flowers, sunshine and rain,
And for every-which day you help me through pain,
Thank you for uniqueness and freedom to choose,
For without you in this game of life we would surely lose.
What do we do when the rain just won’t stop?
Or when emotions and life leave us spinning like a top?
I don’t know about them, but I’ll know what to do,
I will fall to my knees and praise every day through you!
I am so very thankful for every second I live,
And when I make a mistake, you are always willing to forgive,
Thank you for family, friends, and relations,
Even though there may be complications.
All in all thank you for being there, and showing me the way,
For being so knowledgeable and knowing what to say,
For never leaving me, and holding my hand,
And for leading me across the sea, sky and land.
