this is hard for me to say
but I have to get it out
at least you get a choice
either stay for good
or stay out of our life.
It can't be a couple years
or just a child support
I won't do to our child
what my parents did to me
(s)he'll either have a father for life
or there'll be no such thing
you don't understand
how painful it is for them,
children like me,
to be split between parents
it screws up their life
whether it's meant or not
I've already been there
If I can help it
no child of mine
will go through that
so make your choice
