I wanted to keep it for a little bit longer

Now ever since you took it away my life has been empty.
I wish I could have kept my special gift

I wish I could rewrap my gift
but I can’t because you took my one and only special gift.
So ever since you took it I have pretended who I am not,
and now I don’t know who I am anymore
all because you made me believe I could trust you,
now I wish I left my doors shut
so I didn’t get hurt and loose my special gift.
