Addiction
And now the flames
Are kissing her arms
Burn after burn
Charring her skin
And numbing her soul
Reflecting in her eyes
Turning them a fiery green
Back and forth
Pulling her hand across the flame
Feeling it slowly caress her skin
Gently, she dips her finger
Into the liquid wax
Feeling the scorching coolness
Against her pale finger tips
Now that ever inch of her
Has been seared and singed
She turns her back
On her incandescent addiction
