Deep in thought,
She has a mind.
She’s careful and cautious
But also kind.
Between her fingers,
The white lace rests.
Soft and secure
And perfectly pressed.
Beneath her now,
A young man stands
Who waits not for time
But for her hand.
Tears leave her eyes
And grace her cheeks.
She cannot stand,
She cannot speak.
Inside her now,
A feeling grows.
She’s happy, in love,
Which she openly shows.
It must be a dream,
And so she weeps.
She demands to wake,
But is not asleep.
