The end of my time

April 22, 2009
By Anonymous

I walk through the halls of school
Wishing that the world wasn't so cruel
Everyday I feel the same pain
I hide my wrist in endless shame
I found an easy way out of this life
It all ends with the slice of a knife
I wander if people will miss me when I'm gone
Or if they'll even notice at all
Listens for the whispers and the cries
Maybe you can save someones life
But you're too late for mine
Thanks to those who we're so kind
I'll write to those who I will miss
Now all they can do is remininsce
Bye to all those I won't forget
and bye to the people I never met
I hope you all a good life
Even is mine wasn't worth the fight

The author's comments:
I am not really suicidal, but at one point I was and this was some of the only ways I stopped myself from doing it.

You wouldn't believe how relieved i was to read your comment. it scares me to death when i read poems like this. But other than that, it was very good. Very sad, but very good. Keep it up!

I hear you. I like to think that poetry saved my life as well. Great job, very emotional poem.
