In The Mirror

Sit silently in the dark,
Caught up in their game,
You try not to care,
But you want a different role,
the answer is so simple;
Change.
Everything must change,
Quickly you slip into a new mold,
You have what you wanted,
You feel so alive,
But looking in the mirror you see it,
Her eyes are glazed over
Blood shot; from the night before,
She shakes so horribly.
You watch her blue eyes cry,
She doesn't need this,
But you feed her desire,
A pretty line of poison,
One last look in the mirror,
And you surrender to her.
That girl in the mirror
Doesn't feel the pain,
She simply smiles;
And laughs it all away,
Looking at this strange girl
You whisper,
"Don't let him know it hurts,
Don't let them see the tears,
This will take the pain away."
