The lights are distant
The sound is a mumble

The car is foggy
Everyone's laughing

Through the black Forest
There is a barn

My heart is pounding
We found the rave.

The lasers melt into eachother
One massive wave of light

The sound pounds my chest
My body's numb, but I feel every nuance

Music is god for a night
And it is taking us to heaven.

The author's comments:
Being a Techno DJ, I encounter alot of underground events like the one portrayed here. I know that just telling a story of my weekend doesn't paint a vivid enough picture for the listener, so I wrote this poem to inject some feeling.

I love this poem. I think you achieved the intended effect.
