My Heart

Call to me, from the depths and breadth of your soul; I beg you, wake me from this somber repose.
Whisper to me more of your melodious tunes; perhaps you can make sense of these ruins.
I beg of you, pray of you, please put me back together; and we shall fight alongside and brave the stormiest of weathers.
Call to me, come to me, help me to survive; mend me, repair me- keep my heart beat alive.
It's long since dried and cracked where tears once flowed- tears like toiling, roiling rives that carried a load.
Save me, recreate me, salvage what you can; love me, protect me, my dear and faithful man.
I beg of you, pray of you, to do your blessed part; the last words I heard were bitter and hard.
Now help me to heal what has fallen apart. The Beastliest in Battle, the Majesty of Muscles, the Leader in Lost Love-
My Heart.

The author's comments:
I never was a relationship kind of girl and was used to writing typically depressing pieces about the world being against me, and then I fell in love, and wrote a new piece. This reflects how he helped to heal me and help put my crazy life back together.
