what is love?
some words are too often used
but the reality is only a few
and I mean only a few
can truly discover what it means to love

would you be willing to give your life
your home
your soul
and everything you own or possess
to the person you love?

would you have the faith to trust them
and care for them?
would you be there
to hold their trembling hands
when all hope is lost?
would you be the one tell them
“I’m here for you.”

you have be willing to
listen to them
even if you are busy
and you have to be there to comfort them
even when you both disagree.
your two lives
have to come together as one.

it means a lot to love someone.
you can say you love him or her
you can say it everyday
as a matter of fact
but the truth is
would you really be willing
to give up everything for that person?

because it is only then
that you can sincerely
and honestly say
“I love you.”
