I watched the lights skip from wall to wall in the darkened room.
Once forgotten memories came into full view.
They turned my red blood a pityful black.
I lay paralized with grief.
My sheets and blankets of wool would not prevail in sheltering me from these unwanted thoughts.
Once, we had exchanged souls through bodies.
Once, our warmth melted us into one organic being.
Once, your breath was enough to fuel my tender lungs.
The touch of your hand made my every pore sing.
The bones in my legs grinded into a fine powder whenever you spoke of our future together.
But now I can't bare to watch you grin.
I can't stand to see you full of glee.
Not after what you scarred.
Not after what you forever broke.
Not after you steered your passion into the heart of another.
So nonchalantly you repented.
And so graciously did you end our bond and left me to embrace the sun of embarrassment forever.
You twirled her locks of gold and brown.
You gently carressed your lips of rose on her pale and fragile neck as she gasped with joy.
You have left me.
You have forgotten me.
