My dear old shoes
I think its time for you to retire
You have been through many wars
Rain, snow, and heat
You have been tugged and pulled
And colored on
For 2 years now
You have been there with me
No matter where I went
You have shined through the mud
Through the wet
And the slimy
The war scars
They remind me of the places we’ve gone
Your laces are fraying
And your color is fading
You will always be my favorite pair
But my dear old shoes
I think its time for you to retire

i like this! it kind of shows how attached we can get to inatimate objects...even if those things sound silly! but i know exactly how this feels :) great job, it's a cute poem. check out some of my work :)
