Tea Time This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

4 o'clock Saturdays,
Grandma and I would sit,
on the redsatin-covered seats
at the white lace-covered table
that I couldbarely see over.
The soft ping of china hitting china
the sweettaste of tea she brewed
the silent sipping of the cool, refreshingliquid
on a hot summer day
the way her face would crinkle whenshe smiled
as we chatted about the day's events.
I shall neverforget the times we had together,
Grandma and I, at our Saturday teatimes.
