With every step he takes away from me
Trying to get over me
He becomes more of a man
From the boy he use to be
Getting stronger and stronger as everyday progresses
Knowing he regresses on thoughts of this
Because this is the real harsh truth that he is leaving without me this time
That he’s alone
And that I will no longer be that girl who stands beside him
I have become nothing but a closed door
I’m no longer the girl he’s holding
As he starts to become the man I needed him to be along time ago, my heart seems to beat softer
Becoming faint
I know painting a smile on face
Can’t erase or hide the pain
Or rearrange all this hurt so I can move on with my life
As I try to erase the feelings I have for him
Let them fade away
Like the sun does everyday
There is always something to remind me of him
With every step I take
When I move forward
I just want to run every step back
And retrace my track
Back to where I belong
And that is in his arms
Because truth is my love for him never went away
I just knew deep down in his heart he wanted me to say that I still loved him
So he could stay
Staying would only cause him frustration and pain
And to do that to someone isn’t sane
I’d rather him to be without me
Then not trust me
And have his heart all over the place
My feelings for him have stayed even when I said they went far f away
I told him that I was over him for his best interest
Because why be selfish
And keep him all for my self
When he deserves a girl who can do him well
Compared to me
I have a tendency of complicating simple things and not letting them be
But hopefully this boy, soon to be man, will get over me
This boy who had no clue before
Not really sure on what to do
He wasn’t assertive
Or sure of what he needed
He knew what he wanted
But he never succeeded
And what he wanted was me
But what you want isn’t always necessarily what you need
I’m like a weed in a garden
I’m somewhere I don’t belong
You pluck me out and move on…..

Wow.. You're a great writer! I love this one too. The emotions come through, and it gives a clear, mental picture of what happened.
