I am going to change the world,
with my every word by word.
I am going to change the world,
I'm guessing you haven't heard...

I'm going to write out such honesty,
that even the cruel cannot smirk,
and I'm going to prove to teenagers,
that suicide doesn't work.

I'll tell of how holding back tears,
rips your mentality apart,
I'll scribble out lines on hate,
and how hate consumed my heart.

I'll splatter blood on the pages,
as the wounds are not shutting,
and every kid should know,
the putrid price of cutting.

I'm going to change the way you think,
with my only weapon of rhyme,
and it's going to save some lives,
one shaky step at a time.

I'm going to save the world,
by refusing to lie to it.
I'm going to save the world,
even if I die for it.

And people will read posthumous words,
sick as they unfurl,
about how Messed up life was,
for a simple little girl.

I am going to change the world,
it won't happen overnight.
For I've been trying to change the world,
in everything I write.

AMAZING! I loooooove this poem! It's so inspiring! I'm definitely disappointed that this isn't in the teenink magazine (although, i'm not sure how writings are chosen to be in the magazine). I can feel ambition in this poem, it's alive! 5 stars coming your way, and a wink to go with it! ^_* I'm crazy about this poem, keep writing, it's great!

Right on! This poem is great it kind of reminds me of some of my work. (not to say it's unoriginal, :) ) Glad to know there's other kids my age with a common goal.
