Carry Me Home MAG

By Anonymous

Take me to where city lights are no longer found
And we find ourselveslistening to twilight's whispering song
Take me back to where weeping willowshang their sorrow to the ground
Carry me home to a dwelling where Ibelong.

A home where daylight is as gentle as dawn
A destination inwhich fields five feet tall go untamed
A quiet town that I yearn for when I'mgone
A place that was once uncharted and unclaimed.

Whisk me off towhere rotting bridges are left to children's play
And not rebuilt, restored totainted form
Let us run and escape to destinations far away
We shall fleeand be swept from fast lane's charm.

Carry me home to a place thatserenades me with its lure
So that I may take leave from a life I'm too bentfrom
To a soft place on earth to fall upon when I seek salvation
Take meaway, carry me home.
