Depression hurts like rejection,
Like a lack of attention
And a need for affection;
Its like a blow to the chest
And the pain's an addition.
Its a medical condition.
Its characterized by
Trouble breathing, not eating,
Excessive drinking, and over-thinking...
By tear-provoking, pain-evoking,
Mind-consuming insecurities.
It leaves one with a series of questions,
Following a road with multiple directions -
And a soul whose only intention,
Is to make a life-altering confession.
