Ending our race
I look at the clock and watch as the seconds tick by.
Knowing that in one short moment I would start to cry.
Reality kicks in and I start getting butterflies.
I hear the music and start walking.
In the background I hear people talking.
Murmurs like “she’s beautiful” and “look at her hair”, one unlucky woman even says” it’s not fair.”
With every step that I take,
I see past memories and memories were about to make.
I take my last step as we end up face to face,
I realize know that we have ended our race.
At the end of the day we release two doves,
To let the world know of our new life and our love.
