Crashing as if a fall could be graceful
Landing because we can’t fly
Despite our wishes
Despite our dreams
Which get suffocated under deception
Under crippled promises
Because of hope
Because of ignorance
Fortify a sugar cube wall around a dilapidated home
Salty tears melt it down to show the destruction
We are vulnerable
We are unconscious
Thriving on despair
Accepting the blank cards we’re dealt
Reaching for the broken pieces
Reaching for solidity
