Visiting A Friend
I Walked Into The Ancient Resthome
Old, Blank, Staring
Old, Wierd, Gross
I Tried To Talk To My Adoptive Grandparent
Old, Smelly, Grouchy
Old, Mean, Stubborn
I Soon Left But Could Not Leave The Image
Again, Again I Went Back To Visit His Wisdom
Old, So Very Old
But So Very Wize
And So Interesting
He Became Less Stubborn
Old Became Fun, Wildly Entertaining
Old Became Funny, Filled With Laughter
We Became Friends My Adoptive Grandparent
Old Became Wise, Inspiring
Friendly And Full Of Kindness
Soon Both Less Lonely With Life
Now I Am Many Years Older
My Friend Has Passed On
But His Wisdom Continued To Impact My Life
