The Blanket of Night

night time approaches
fear thoughts and feelings
down the protective barriers come
with it either healing or sin
the peak of the battle occurs
the battle everlasting
these battles short or long
good vs evil, righteousness vs sin
i see the truth
yet struggle to believe
soon the night will break
and darkness comes to an end
the dawn approaches
a new day to come
who may win the battle for today?
only night will tell.
