When Music Dies
You called me up
And you said,
"I've reached my end,
I only see you as a friend"
I fell down to the deepest depths of my life
I cried
And I thought to myself
This is what happens when music dies
After I begged you to stay
You still turned
And walked away
I called your name
Hoping for change
You came back
And you said,
"I've reached my end,
I only see you as a friend"
As weeks went by
I could hardly breathe,
Crying so much,
I couldn't see
I tried calling you
But all you said was,
"I've reached my end,
I only see you as a friend"
The weeks turned into months
I was starting to smile
And I felt strong
Then I got the call
And he said,
"I was stupid
I realized I need you in my life
I've opened my eyes
I love your more than I should,
Oh please, love takes two..."
Then I said,
"I've reached my end,
I barely see you as a friend."
And he thought
Why did I live this lie?
And he thought with a heavy sigh,
This is what happens when music dies.
