I am the queen of this notebook,
I make all the rules,
I do the writing,
I am the Queen.

You are the reader,
you follow my rules,
you do the reading,
you are the reader.

We both are crucial,
but I am irreplaceable,
I am the Queen.

I am the Queen of this notebook,
I am the Queen of this pencil,
and whatever I write,
is quite confidental.

You don't own this book,
this pencil or these words,
so do not be a crook,
by copying my verses.

For if you do,
I will tell you right now,
you will so solemnly be reminded,
I am the Queen!

The author's comments:
A few years ago, my mother bought me this "the Wild Things" notebook from the book "Where the Wild Things Are". I really loved poetry (as I do now) however I didn't like people reading what I was writing. So, I wrote this poem saying not to copy my work. I really liked so I kept it. So here it is my poem with a few new modern tweeks.
