Mankind's Face

I cannot condone the man that spits and then is silent.
It had been so long since I have last seen a sight with real substance.
It is not imposable, not even close. Your will is the only thing that will ever hold you back.
We all keep our eyes on the same sky even if we do walk on different grounds.
Tradition is a crippled leg that we drag wherever we go.
People will never change. We are all dogs with too much of a life span.
It is sad to be the only one with a real face, not one made from wood.
I could not be as ugly as you if I fell under a lawn mower, and above anything else that depresses me.
I am ready to hear a story of good fortune, even if you have to make one up.
For me it is hard to keep golden when the whole world is rusting away.

I feel like you've been reading my mind. Substance- that's the word I've been thinking now for the past several months once I put my thoughts into words. The same for the third and lasts lines as well.

The consonance in the first line is awesome, too.
