Our Special Song
Play for me.
It's been so long since I've heard the song.
The special one you play for me and me only.
Now she set another sheet of music in front of you. Forcing you to play a new song and she laughs as your tired fingers slam roughly into the keys.
You know the other song by heart, butr she's constantly by your side, not letting you play the old one.
But one night you may dare to play the old song,
But it's with a heavy heart and sounds almost forced...or scared.
And she heard you.
She got revenge.
But she didn't realize it didn't only hurt me, but you, too.
She cut the trings on your precious piano.
CHanging the song in your heart forever.
But you still tried to play it.
The keys screeched at every note, so out of tune it was almost unrecognizable.
But I still knew it.
It may be out of tune, but the look on your face WAS the song.
I only hope you don't stop playing.
