Evergreen Eyes

Staring into her eyes he sees an endless forest.
He longs to live there for eternity.
Deeper and deeper he finds no escape.
Drowning in the leaves and irises.
Fading into the trees is where he wants to be.
She knows he's lost.
She's not going to rescue him.
The evergreen never dies, their love will never die.
