Fear

I have a secret fear.
It lies deep within me.
Consuming my thoughts.
Will not let me be.
It's starting a war.
It shall not win.
I will rise above it.
This fight has yet to begin.
I just want to be free.
From this painful fear.
I just want to walk away.
Don't want to shed a tear.
Just take me to the heavens.
Where I will live without a care.
I will be sheltered with strong arms.
The breeze within my hair.
I will leave my fear behind me.
At the golden gate.
Forget all about it.
This must be my fate.
