Just Like Me MAG

By Anonymous

Withbig blue eyes staring right at me
He tells a joke that I told last week
Hehears that's not funny coming from me
Be nice Mom says he's only trying to belike me
Well it's pretty annoying I say then walk away
Leaving thesix-year-old standing there
A few hours later some toys are gone
Of coursethey're in his room scattered around
As I pick them up he starts toscream
Leave them be Mom says he's just trying to be like me
At nighttimebefore I go out he wants to go and see what it's all about
Of course I say noyou can't go again he starts to scream
Don't be mean says Mom he just wants tobe with me
I roll my eyes and walk out the door leaving all the voices behindme
Just trying to be like me I sigh
As the hours go by and I come home to asilent house
I think good time to relax alone in my room
Within minutesfootsteps come along
A little figure stands in the darkness waiting
For meto yell at him like he did something wrong
What I ask waiting for some stupidlittle question
He looks and then walks to my bed
I hear a voice saying Ilove you
I tell him I love you too
Now go back to bed and leave mebe
Then I think it's pretty cool he's just trying to be like me
