Life

Life

A chirping, sparrow in a clear, blue sky: simple, peaceful

A lazy snail sliding on a twisted leaf: slow, soundless

A leaping, green frog on a soft, white lily pad: lively, joyful

A small, glittery fish in a clear pool of water: sharp, quick

A sun yellow butterfly floating in the breeze: Beautiful, elegant

A quiet, dark bat hanging in a cave: hidden, mysterious

A muddy, grey tortoise bathing in the sun: old, wise

A long necked goose guarding its mate’s nest: alert, cautious

A pair of watching eyes hiding in the brush: timid, curious

A complicated, winding road we call life: indescribable

I love what it does to my mental images as I read it. It's very expansive and inclusive. It moved me.

Hey Julia! This is another one of your awesome stunts! ;P I like the way this poem is written, it describes a different aspect of life that most people don't think about. I like the analogies, it has an interesting effect. Well done.
