I am struggling to regain balance again
Compared to how things have been
You spoke for yourself
You're finally jumping off the shelf

You're cutting off the strings
One by one with little things
You're finally gaining control
Things are finally taking their toll

Don't be offended when I ask
But how does it feel to take off your mask?
To say what you actually want to say
To walk the path your own way

I dont know where you've been lately
But you've been missed greatly
I can see the sun breaking from the clouds
You're taking baby steps away from the crowd
Finally taking necessary steps to removal
You don't always have to fight for their approval

With those simple words you said
I can hear the tiny person trapped in your head
She just wants her voice to be heard
Come on let her fly like a bird

What are you scared of?
You've still got me
Am I not good enough?
Can I just not see?

Don't be offended when I ask
But how does it feel to take off your mask?
To say what you actually want to say
To walk the path your own way

I don't know where you've been lately
But you've been missed greatly
I can see the sun breaking from the clouds
Your taking baby steps away from the crowd
Finally taking necessary steps to removal
You don't always have to fight for their approval

Why did you leave, I won't ask
Come on just set aside your mask
Don't be their puppet on the shelf
You don't need their approval just be yourself
