Scratch that, rewind
Take it back, wrong state of mind
Like lyrics with no melody
The sane define insanity
Talking too loud through sealed lips
The killer cries as the lover whips
Crazy does as crazy is
Tables turn, teapots tip

Boiling ice like an unspoken lie
Silence heaves the heaviest sigh
Death kills the strong, life kills the weak
Knowledge blinds those who seek
Clocks stop at 11:59
Time moves from time to time
Cancer feeds on innocence
It’s wrong if it makes any sense
Life’s unjust and nothing less
It only does what it does best

Oddly enough, I wrote this poem on a napkin at a Red Robin Restaurant while on vacation.
