paying tribute to ancient history
by relapsing memories in my thoughts
replaying the times I knew were right
just to give myself somewhere to restart
here in this room, not a thing is permanent
I take in oxygen just like before
and breathe out my own presence
my life has never been lacking like I once dreamt up
yet, full of everything I ever imagined
I don't believe in future actions from past references
and as I declare it from the highest mountain
the rain makes my skin new once more
changes bring chances and I can smile at that fact
I relish in the refreshment of its entirety
bid farewell to doubt
and recreate all that was true of two seperate worlds
among us are the inventions that will bury burdens
long ago we learned that reality allows innocence to wander
and that when children play with fire
there are bound to be necessary burns
