I Fear watching Your shape
shift and turn back into Human.
Watching your eyes lose their glow,
as You materialize with Dawn.

My Night Protector, you are.
You radiate a light in my Fear.
You are a moon, a God-created,
God-beloved, Moon.

Your scars illuminate my Dreams.
My Dreams of unity--
a distant lapse in time.
You are Paradise.

I am your Creation, of mistakes, of flaws,
of second chances, of Everything,
You look through and You see me.

You See me like a God at Work,
Creating me.
My Body renewed by Dreams of You.

Day brings holes, of missing wholes.
I write.
A book of eraser-smeared, tear-drenched,
coffee-stained pages.

Of times when I fell and devoured sin,
I was Satan’s gift to himself.
By Night, You make me Pure.

Dawn, don’t haste to catch my
drifting, dreaming soul.
Just one more moment or two.
Let me catch my breath and grasp the air,
where my Guardian floats beside.

He is Me. He is every Ounce of I.
That walks, talks, breaths, pounds
and survives.
