Ballerina Shoes
Oh budding ballerina,
Allow me to endeavor your passionate ways
To have the determination you intrepidly possess.
You attempt the wildest spins, the highest jumps
that the world would be able to throw your way
All while keeping an unmoved face.
Oh beguiling ballerina,
I can tell you forthrightly
How I envy the intricacy and self-reliance in your movement.
What a beneficial skill you have mastered.
Through every difficulty that draws closer,
You manage to maintain that indifferent expression.
Oh breathtaking ballerina,
In your magnificent ballet flats.
I strive for a day in your shoes.
Such endurance I would maintain,
Frequently on tip toes, elevating myself.
Too high up for the despondency of the world to take control.
Oh buoyant ballerina,
No worries repress your performance.
You are nonchalant about the world around you.
You move with such refinement.
Every step choreographed suitably,
Your routine is delivered with confidence and certainty.
But alas, young ballerina
You must now take off your dancing shoes.
Welcome back to the real world.
