peace sinking into tired bones
anger long since forgotten
sadness nothing but distant fog
sulking heart called intervention
thinking warm, honey coated calm
patching gashes once gaping
clutch at this moment of quiet
inner demons quelled and silent
raging fear now obsolete
steel fingers grasp broken pieces
welded new crystalline wings
spirit renewed through old remorse
