As Days Go By
Day’s pass by,
I go blind,
Every sunny bright day,
Fades away,
My life goes away,
When my vivid brown eyes,
Turn black and shut,
When my wonderful smile,
Turns into a frown,
When my laugh turns,
Into silence,
And when my fingers,
Can no longer touch,
When my hair,
Can no longer grown,
When my mouth,
Can no longer taste,
When I can’t hear,
What loved ones say,
When I could no longer breathe,
When little by little my body stays still,
When my brain no longer exists,
When I’m full asleep,
I don’t want you to cry,
Or scream “WHY?”
I’m not dead,
I’m still alive,
Inside your heart,
And I’ll still come back,
In your,
Memories,
Dreams,
And thoughts!
