There he stood,
scared, all alone.
His troop was down,
he was hiding.
What could he
do? Stop the
bloody fighting?
It was madness.
His first time,
carrying a
gun, watching
comrades fall.
His friends?
Dead.
His commander?
Dead.
Everyone,
risking their
life, running
in with no fear.
It was his turn.
