A misguided hand,
A silent urge to reprimand,
A guilty smile,
Nervous and shaking all the while,
Hands shoved back into jeans,
A scolded puppy represents how he leans,
Abrupt silence has cast the air,
His unfaithful eyes a cast everywhere,
Her trusting eyes no longer craving his stare,
Once the had seemed a relenting pair,
His devious sneer,
Hope that the end is almost near,
A desperate attempt to escape,
A failed attempt to close the drape,
Final spoken words to end the pain,
Dismiss the man so avidly vain
