Ode to Confusion
Oh Confusion!
Why do you play in time with the beat of beauty?
Distorted noise!
Shipwrecked in the heat of Poseidon's fury.
A work of art, now broken and bent,
but still fascinating.
My mind: the ship,
The sea: your form of decorating
Me with a baffled gaze and racing thoughts
-so helpless
And doubt,
your equally stunning and disorienting mistress.
I will not win 'gainst your clash and clamour,
Unless I admit defeat
and claim failure a successor.
