I look at my sister now
At pre-torn jeans and crushed sneakers
Bronzed,eye-lined and glittering
And I think,
Why did she become what I couldnot?
How?

At the center of her solar system
She is secretlyalone
Hysterically laughing and falling down the ladder
Driven to dripflirtatious skin slips
Lonesome in the midst of circling bodies
Where didshe learn to hide so well?

Legs longer than years
With cell-phonefriendships that flip on and off
She has built daylight bricks betweenus
But in dusk's solitude
We are still friends, still coughinggiggles
Into pillows of years grown too close

I feel the same way about my sister! I really loved it! And I really connected to it! Thanks!
